Detroit Diesel 5198563 international compound (often referred to as "peanut butter") is the best compound to use for smooth, consistent torquing of head bolts, main cap bolts, etc. It can be used on Detroit Diesel engines such as: IL71, V71, V92, V149, 8.2 L, 50, 55, 60, 2000, and 4000 Series.
