Diesel Specialists Invited to White House Business Council Forum

Diesel Specialists (DBA Diesel Parts Direct) was one of only several dozen companies in the nation invited by the White House Business Council to participate in a high-level briefing to discuss international trade and export promotion.

Whit Kellam, President of Diesel Specialists (DBA Diesel Parts Direct), traveled to Washington on February 20,2014 to participate in the forum. Facilitators included:

• Ambassador Michael Froman, United States Trade Representative
• Ed Gresser, Scholar in Residence, Office of the United States Trade Representative
• Bryan Erwin, Director, International Trade Administration Advocacy Center, U.S. Department of Commerce

Other companies invited included Google, AT&T, Milliken, BB&T and some of the top technology and industrial companies in the world. Topics of particular concern to the forum members were the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), the Investor Visa Program, and maximizing Section 179 Deductions for Equipment Purchases.
